After struggling to start 2018, tennis star Sloane Stephens defeated Jelena Ostapenko 7-6 (7-5) and 6-1 at the Miami Open on April 1, 2018. By virtue of winning the tournament, her sixth career title, Stephens moved into the ninth slot in the WTA World Rankings. Maybe this victory will be the catalyst for a more consistent season for the 25-year old star.
