In my quest to find some quality Black History cinema I ran across this in my queue on my Flix of the Net. I caught my attention, because I’m a music buff of all genres from Negro Spirituals to Hip-Hop to Gospel to Opera and everything in between. What I thought was going to be a collection of songs of the civil rights movement became a step into the lives of those you lived, breathed, died and survived the movement that allows us to to enjoy many of the liberties that we do.
WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS
There are so many stories within the story of the movement, even the biggest history buff will discover something new
WHY YOU SHOULDN’T WATCH THIS
There are very sensitive and graphic materials covered in this film and may not be suited for very young audience
RATING
A MUST SEE…..Respect the struggle, it will teach you so much
